Almost a Swiss quadruple victory!

On the second-to-last day of CHI Geneva, the UBS Challenge Prize took place in front of packed stands – a Table A competition against the clock over a height of 1.55 metres. A total of 33 riders took part in this prestigious showjumping competition, which counts towards the world rankings, all hoping to win.

The Swiss, who had already won twice on Saturday, were once again in top form: Edouard Schmitz (Quno) confirmed his good form this weekend, Pius Schwizer (PSG Starlight) proved that he is still as fast as ever, and Gaëtan Joliat (Chelsea Z) and Guillaume Gillioz (Remix) demonstrated why they are considered to be among the most promising young Swiss show jumpers. This impressive group could have achieved a rare Swiss quadruple victory, but Max Kühner of Austria had other plans, winning the UBS Challenge on Greece 5, an 11-year-old mare with whom he has only been competing internationally since October. This bodes well for the future of their partnership!
