In a jump-off with seven participants, each faster than the last, nothing was certain. Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson were clearly in great form and set a high mark to beat, but Martin Fuchs and Conner Jei lowered the reference time by a full second. The winner of the Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen this summer took every risk, seemingly flying over the last fence. However, his compatriot and friend Steve Guerdat was not going to give up easily, determined to defend his title to the end. Thanks to a perfect line and a good gallop, he was already ahead after three obstacles and showed no signs of slowing down. So, in front of packed stands, it was a fine Swiss double that concluded the event.
