Richard Vogel triumphs in Aachen and remains the live contender for the Rolex Grand Slam

The Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, the second Major of the 2026 Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, delivered a top-level competition this weekend in Germany.

At the end of a particularly demanding competition, only three pairs managed to achieve a double clear round and qualify for the jump-off. Among them, Richard Vogel and the impressive United Touch S once again made a strong impression by winning in front of their home crowd. Argentina’s José María Larocca Jr. and Finn Lente took second place, while Sophie Hinners rounded out the podium with Iron Dames Singclair.

Behind this trio, Ben Maher (4th), Steve Guerdat (5th), and André Thieme (6th) also ranked among the top finishers in a highly competitive Grand Prix featuring the world’s elite show jumpers.

Having already won the Rolex Grand Prix at the Dutch Masters in March, Richard Vogel claimed his second consecutive victory in a Major event of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping. The German rider thus remains the live contender for this coveted trophy. To do so, he will need to win the next stop on the circuit, the legendary CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters,’ whose Rolex Grand Prix will take place on September 13 in Canada.

As a reminder, only Scott Brash has so far managed to win the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, in 2015. Richard Vogel and United Touch S will now attempt to get a little closer to this historic achievement at the upcoming event in Canada.
