CHI Geneva

Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final

A dream became true.

With tonight’s victory Kevin Staut and his Reveur de Hurtebise HDC won one of the most prestigious titles in show jumping.

For the thirteenth time in the history of the CHI Geneva, the ten best riders in the world met in the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final at Palexpo. And the audience on the sold-out grandstands was excited about the world elite!

First to face this competition consisting of two rounds run under Table A with obstacles up to 1.60m was Steve Guerdat (2016: 3rd). With one down in the first, two in the second round and a total of 12 points, the Swiss star could not compete for the trophy.

Participating for the eighth time, Tricolor rider Kevin Staut finally scores his first victory and wins the trophy! With almost two seconds faster than Scott Brash on second place, he showed an incredible performance with his 16-year-old Reveur de Hurtebise HDC. "He was just excellent, like he often is at important moments," says the 17th winner of this competition. "That's a lot of emotions for me, and an absolute feeling of happiness!" With this victory Staut qualifies also for tomorrow's Rolex Grand Prix. Behind Staut Great Britain's Scott Brash and Sweden’s Peder Fredricson completed the podium.

The newly elected president of the International Jumping Riders Club, who celebrated his 40th birthday last night, has enjoyed a very successful weekend so far. Will he be honored once again at the Rolex Grand Prix tomorrow afternoon?
