Prix du Rhône

Saturday evening began in style with the Grande Chasse, a permanent fixture on the CHIG programme. As ever, the event, which includes an eye-catching river fence, offered an unrivalled spectacle of speed and daring.

Riding GL Events Dolce Deceuninck, French rider Olivier Perreau came out on top, over a second ahead of Switzerland’s Barbara Schnieper on Inook. The Swiss rider went faster than Perreau but incurred a three-second time penalty along the way. Third place went to Victor Bettendorf on Astuce de la Roque.

Olivier Perreau: "It’s a magnificent arena here in Geneva, and I’m thrilled and honoured to have taken part in this unique competition. My warmest thanks to the organisers for their invitation. It’s down to them that I’m able to enjoy moments like this. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better way to end my season and the year than with a win."
