Sanitary measures for riders and horses

Please take note of the following information regarding the sanitary measures in place during the CHI Geneva 2021.

These rules are likely to change according to the evolution of the epidemiological situation.

COVID-19

Covid Certificate

• Any person wishing to enter the CHI Geneva must present a Covid Certificate valid in Switzerland accompanied by an identity document or the accreditation

• A PCR test is valid 72 hours and an antigenic test 24 hours after sample collection

• Once the control has been carried out, participants will receive a wristband attesting that they have been controlled

• Controls are carried out every day either at the entrance of the Show or in the main hall of the official hotel (Hilton) between 7am and 10am

Test Center

• A Covid-19 testing centre is available to competitors on the Competition site (door 624)

• This centre is open at the following times

  • Wednesday 8 December: 16:00 - 18:00
  • Thursday 9 December: 08:00 - 10:00
  • Friday 10 December: 08:00 - 10:00 / 16:00 - 18:00
  • Saturday 11 December: 08:00 - 10:00 / 16:00 - 18:00
  • Sunday 12 December: 08:00 - 10:00

 

Additional Measures

• It is compulsory to present a PCR Test less than 72 hours old and to fill in a form before entering Switzerland:

• Wearing a mask is compulsory throughout the CHI Geneva except during meals or on horseback

• Maintain a distance of 1.5m between people

• Disinfection and/or regular hand washing

 

HEALTH SAFETY OF HORSES

Examination on arrival

• Identification (micro-chip, passport)

• Vaccination against equine influenza (last injection at least 7 days before arrival at the CHI Geneva)

• Clinical examination with body temperature measurement

• Entry of the horse in the FEI Horse App with registration of the measured temperature

• Check of the temperature measurement of the last 3 days before arrival at the competition and check of the self-declaration of good health form

• The temperature must be taken twice a day and entered into the FEI Horse App during the show

If the clinical examination is suspicious, the FEI Delegated Veterinarian may decide to keep the horse, and those that have travelled in the same transport, in quarantine in separate boxes in the national and international stables of the CHI Geneva, and in the most serious cases to refuse entry to the competition site.

• For the smooth running of the arrivals, each rider is asked to register using the following link:

• We remind you, as indicated in the Schedule, that the arrival times are as follows

  • Jumping : Tuesday 7 December from 5pm to 10pm and Wednesday 8 December from 6am to 3pm
  • Cross Country: Thursday 9 December from 12.00
  • Driving: Friday 10 December from 12.30 pm
