Dive into the world of the ICRC

There’s an immersive experience waiting for you at the entrance to the CHI de Genève, where our charity partner, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is offering a 360° tour of the vital work its representatives carry out across the world.

Holding back the tears is no easy task, so touching are the stories and the images from some of the world’s isolated regions and so deep the journey into them. No, there’s little chance of you coming away unscathed. Without giving anything away – because you really need to see it to understand it – the ICRC experience showcases, in a direct but non-confrontational way, all the actions that the institution undertakes around the globe. It does so with the aim of being disarmingly truthful, but without ever falling into pathos.

The images of a child with both legs amputated as a result of war, first carried by his father and then smiling when he takes his first steps with his prosthetic limbs, are enough to make your hair stand on end and to bring you to the point of tears.

The ICRC receives regular news from him and videos showing him juggling a ball with his feet. Not everything is rosy, however, and not every story has a happy ending, but that is also the raison d’être of the ICRC: to protect the lives and the dignity of the victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence, and to provide them with valuable support.
