Swiss duo book Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final places

One of the highlights of the upcoming CHI Geneva, the 22nd Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final is less than one month away. And on this occasion, there will be not one but two riders flying the flag for Switzerland, increasing the chances of the Swiss national anthem ringing around the Palexpo arena.

Martin Fuchs and Steve Guerdat, respectively 4th and 5th in the world rankings, are the home duo in question. Standing above them in those rankings are Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, the defending champion and undisputed world No.1 for several months now; Great Britain’s Ben Maher, the 2021 winner; and the USA’s Kent Farrington, the 2019 champion. France will also be represented by two riders, in Julien Epaillard (6th) and Simon Delestre (7th). Completing the field and also hoping to add their names to the list of winners are Max Kühner of Austria, Harrie Smolders of the Netherlands and Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam, a replacement for the USA’s McLain Ward, who was forced to withdraw because his top horse is being held in quarantine in Chile following the Pan American Games.

Come and join us on Friday 8 December and watch the world’s ten leading riders battle it out in what promises to be a superb final.
