Once again, CHI Geneva partnered with the Swiss company Alogo Analysis to analyze courses this year. The Alogo Live interface allows spectators to discover numerous statistics on competitor courses and view real-time time differences between the leader and the competitor on the course. Finally, a “Ghost Rider” video broadcast at the end of the competition allows spectators to compare the routes taken by the winner and the runner-up.
Alogo Move Pro: Track your horse’s progress, performance, and health
With Alogo Move Pro, riders and their teams have a revolutionary tool for viewing essential data about their horses directly from their smartphones. In addition to parameters related to strides, jumps, and balance, Alogo Move Pro places particular emphasis on monitoring the horse’s health. By detecting subtle changes in locomotion or behavior, the sensor helps identify early signs of fatigue or potential injuries. This enables riders to precisely tailor their training to preserve their horses’ well-being while optimizing performance
This advanced technology appeals to both riders and national federations. Alogo collaborates with 14 national federations, including FEI Eventing, to enhance horse and rider safety through reliable and precise data. Key partners include the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF), the British Equestrian Federation (BEF), and Swiss Equestrian Talent (SET), which integrate Alogo Move Pro into their programs to support their athletes.
The next generation of show jumping riders has already widely adopted Alogo worldwide, benefiting from its innovations to optimize their training and closely monitor their horses. Promising talents like the Swiss junior champion Margault Blanchard, Bryan Smits, Léonie Pelloni, and renowned international riders such as Karl Cook, are among the convinced users. Alogo Move Pro has also become essential in the world of eventing, where prestigious names like Laura Collett, Maxime Livio, Andrew Hoy, and Nadja Minder use it throughout the season, particularly during renowned competitions such as the Rolex Nations Cup in Aachen or international championships.
Quote from David Deillon, CEO of Alogo Analysis
“Alogo Move Pro can revolutionize equestrian sports. Many sports use video to analyze athlete or team performance, but in equestrian sports, this is not done as precisely as our sensor offers. We have no intention of replacing a coach or veterinarian nor substituting for the rider’s instinct, which is essential. We provide an innovative and scientifically validated solution that helps athletes better track the evolution of each horse daily and during competitions while detecting injury risks,” says David Deillon, CEO of Alogo Analysis.
Andrew Hoy’s Testimonial
Andrew Hoy, an Olympic eventing rider, bronze and silver medalist at the most recent Tokyo Olympics, and a key member of the Australian team at significant events, uses Alogo Move Pro during his training and competitions. He adds:
“For me, science and technology play a very important role in equestrian sports in 2024. The rider’s instinct and experience, along with their team’s input, remain essential factors. However, being able to ‘verify’ a feeling with data is revolutionary. Our horses are high-level athletes, and maintaining their mental and physical health is our top priority, allowing us to enjoy this sport we love under optimal conditions. Alogo Move Pro enables us to closely monitor each horse’s performance during training and competition and to quickly identify any changes - positive or negative - so that we can act rather than react. Alogo Move Pro has become an indispensable part of our daily training program.”
