Geneva, 31 October 2024 – Following consultation with the CHI Geneva organisers, Switzerland’s chef d’equipe Peter van der Waaij and Swiss Equestrian coach Thomas Fuchs have announced their picks for the event, to be held on 11-15 December. Some 12 riders will take part in all competitions, while five riders, including the recipients of the four wildcards, will compete in the Medium Tour events.
The 17 riders on the list put together by Van der Waaij and Fuchs are all ready to shine at the Palexpo arena, not least Steve Guerdat and Martin Fuchs, the two undisputed leaders of the Swiss pack, while Edouard Schmitz, a recent runner-up at the FEI Jumping World Cup Oslo, is also champing at the bit. Running alongside the CSI5*, the CSI U25 will feature 12 talented young Swiss riders selected by Switzerland’s youth chef d’equipe, Cornelia Notz, and with the approval of Van der Waaij and CHI Geneva.
