Unbelievable!!! They did it! In their last tournament appearance, Toubleu de Rueire and Mélody Johner simply gave themselves a present by winning the Tribune de Genève indoor cross-country competition. As the last pair to start, the beautiful grey horse and Swiss rider simply put in a perfect round. Not only did they clear all the fences, they also crossed the finish line in 155.02 seconds, with the ideal time set at 155 seconds! What better reward could there be for the pair, who finished fourth in the team competition at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris? What better way for this fantastic duo to end their competitive careers? The pair skated confidently to victory, earning a rousing ovation from the crowd who shared in their triumph. They relegated the Dutch pair of Janneke Boonzaaijer and Acsi Champ de Tailleur (155.26) and the Belgian pair of Lara De Liedekerke-Meier and Kiarado d'Arville (153.77) to second and third place respectively, thus ensuring an all-female podium. One thing is for sure: the Geneva CHI Indoor Cross remains one of the highlights for the public, who are thrilled by this sport and its great emotions!
