Martin Fuchs - He wins, over and over again!

The UBS Challenge Prize, a Table A against the clock over 1.55m, closed the CHI Geneva on Saturday. A total of 37 riders were at the start. To win, they had to prove their speed and rideability on a difficult course with 13 obstacles of 16 fences and three doubles. And this in front of a full house.

Swiss rider Martin Fuchs, on Commissar Pezi, was - again - the best with a time of 59.46 minutes. No-one else managed to break 60 seconds. Neither the French rider Simon Delestre with his speedy Dexter Fontenis Z (60.43), nor his compatriots Edouard Schmitz with Quno (61.43) and Bryan Balsiger with PSG Starlight (61.90), nor the British rider Ben Maher with his elegant Enjeu de Grisien (61.69), nor any of the other riders, all of whom were very good, managed to do so. The course, prepared by Gérard Lachat and Grégory Bodo, was technically very demanding. But it seems that Martin can master any course at this 63rd edition of the CHI Geneva, having won every evening since the start of the tournament. The stars seem to be particularly favourable to him at the moment. It is amazing how one rider alone - or almost alone - can hog all the limelight. Ahead of tomorrow's Rolex Grand Prix, Martin Fuchs is once again beaming with happiness and confidence. Well done - Chapeau, Martin!
