A tiara and a crown!

This morning, Palexpo began the day by hosting the Range Rover Grand Prix, which is reserved for riders aged 25 and younger and showcases the top riders of the next generation. Following in the footsteps of their elders, they competed in a 1.45m class.

Of the 32 pairs who started, 12 qualified for the jump-off. They then gave their all to win, adding to their list of achievements a title as prestigious as it is honourable – victory at the Concours Hippique International de Genève! The first to take off was Switzerland's Riana Aebersold riding Silver Shine, who immediately put pressure on her competitors. However, this was not enough to unsettle her rivals, including Irish rider Tim Brennan, who rode Diadema della Caccia to victory at an incredible speed of 35.53 seconds.

Having already won Thursday's U25 opening event, the Irish rider confirmed his excellent form this weekend. Second place went to Switzerland's Gilles Müller and his faithful mare Giavanna CB, who finished just over a second behind the Irishman. Third place went to England in the form of reigning European Individual Young Riders Champion, Rachel Proudley, who was beaten by two hundredths of a second by the Swiss hopeful on Guess du Mont.
